Integrative Psychotherapy  Integrative Arts Psychotherapy

Catherine is an Integrative Psychotherapist, meaning that she integrates different but complementary approaches, depending on the needs of the client.  In addition to traditional verbal psychotherapy, her integrative practice includes the use of the arts and the imagination, enabling clients to communicate their feelings through image, when words may seem hard to find.  There is no right or wrong way of using the arts in psychotherapy. Because the emphasis is on expressing and exploring, there is no need to be at all artistically talented, nor is there any obligation to use any of the art forms offered. They are there to aid communication when desired.

Catherine is also interested in the link between body and mind, and the impact of our emotional selves on our physical bodies and health, and focuses on the body in sessions where appropriate.

For more information or to book an introductory session, please contact Catherine.

In addition to her one to one work, Catherine also runs courses based on “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. These are designed for anyone wishing to unblock, expand or discover their creativity,  in whatever field or medium.

Please see Catherine’s schedule for details of forthcoming courses.
